# Reticular Fiber

**Reticular fiber** is fiber that is found in [[connective tissue]] that is kind of like [[collagen]] but thinner and forms many branches. It forms a characteristic net-like formation, which is where it derives it's name (*reticulum* means "little net" in Latin).

It's often found in large quantities in the **stroma** or framework of some organs.
